A brief series of small comics for Instagram of real, imagined, or aspirational situations that make my particular heart beat a little faster.

For a holiday merchandise campaign, the Bitter Southerner asked me to create original collage illustrations of a few of their products. I chose several famous Southerners and reimagined them wearing the items. Pictured, in order, are: Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Carter, George Washington Carver, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, Eudora Welty, Harper Lee, Flannery O’Connor, and Zora Neale Hurston.
